My submission for the first round of Bjorn Hurri's competition. The subject was "the magical item granted otherworldly powers".

I decided to work with a theme I love: birds! I wanted to tell a story of a birder who gets gifts from her crows, but one of those gifts turns out to be an artifact that grants its wearer with immense magical power.
